Starting Mobile Medic CPR / A Vet Owned, Small Business

July 11, 2019

This week we emailed our very first customers that I taught CPR/AED & BLS to in August of 2017, right after my Grand Opening. We emailed to let them know their AHA cert is soon to expire, invite them back for a renewal, and update them on the many changes Mobile Medic CPR Training LLC has undergone in the past two years.

Two years ago, I had the desire to take the life-saving knowledge and skills I teach in the military to those in my local community.  With the help of some special donors, I was able to purchase the appropriate training equipment to get me started.  In August of 2017, I started teaching out of a small office in the Bank of Nevada Building on West Lake Mead Blvd.  I was also 'mobile' as the business name refers to, and branded my company on being able to take the training to people whether it be a public venue, a business or a home.

After operating out of the office space on West Lake Mead for a few months, I soon learned it wasn't the ideal location or lease for me.  They say, "things happen for a reason".  I believe it.  I'm SO HAPPY to have had my office at that location for the simple fact, that I was able to meet Andre' & Destiny of the Armed Forces Chamber.  Andre' had his office in the same building at the time.  I was happy to offer the chamber a non-profit CPR training course and shortly after that, became a member of the chamber.  Today, Kevin & I are proud, active members of the Armed Forces Chamber of Commerce.  Like our business, we've watched the chamber grow over the past couple years.

This past year, 2018 - '19, we've experienced the most upgrades!  We moved to a new location on West Sahara Avenue, celebrated a year anniversary and ribbon cutting with the Armed Forces Chamber, and added a couple more awesome veterans to our staff at Mobile Medic CPR!

Kevin came on board a year ago.  He has not only jumped right in to teaching CPR & BLS as if he'd been doing it for years, but he has managed much of the behind the scenes here at Mobile Medic CPR. He's made our entire process of booking/scheduling classes 100% automated! This helps us stay on top of things and has proven to result in zero errors.

Tanya also became an instructor for Mobile Medic CPR a couple of months ago. She brings with her 20+ years of experience as a USAF paramedic!  As we continue to grow, we are planning another instructor course in September of 2019, and will add even more excellent people to our team!

We are grateful for all our customers, but especially, the customers who leave a review (on yelp, Facebook or google) and share their experience with others. It helps people, who may be looking for CPR or advanced medical training/certification, know WHY they should choose Mobile Medic CPR Training over our competitors. There are many reasons!!!

We are also grateful for referrals!  While I've paid for advertising campaigns. No advertising campaign comes close to the word of mouth - REFERRALS!

Our friend Zoe, from Spring Valley Medical Center has referred the MOST customers to us! We appreciate YOU Zoe, and thank you again!  Referrals and reviews are the ultimate way to say thank you, show appreciation, and express satisfaction with the services we provide.

We are proud of the non-profit volunteering, networking, and training we've accomplished in the past couple of years within our local Las Vegas community.  Mobile Medic CPR Training will continue to be involved and support organizations like Helping Hands of Vegas Valley, Nellis & Creech AFB Military Spouse Groups, Association for Professionals & Students, the Las Vegas Urban League and MORE

Getting this small business up and running has by no means, been easy, but it's been rewarding.  All of us here at Mobile Medic CPR, truly love what we do.  We have a passion for teaching and sharing vital information and skills that could potentially save a life!  We are very excited to celebrate our 2 year anniversary in business next month. We're even more excited for the future, growth, and prosperity of our veteran owned and operated, small, local, Las Vegas business!
