Thanksgiving Food Safety

Thanksgiving is upon us. Here are our Top 5 Thanksgiving Food Safety Tips:
#1 - Wash your hands with warm soapy water for 20 seconds before/after handling turkey.
#2 - According to the CDC, you should not wash or rinse raw turkey since its juices can spread in the kitchen and contaminate other foods, utensils and countertops.
#3 - Never thaw your turkey by leaving it out on the counter. Bacteria can grow rapidly.
#4 - Cook stuffing separately from the turkey in a casserole dish.
#5 - Refrigerate leftovers at 40F or colder as soon as possible. Reheat leftovers to at least 165F before serving.
